Nicolas Nuñez Barreto is now a Doctor!

Last Thursday Nicolás defended his thesis, titled Dark resonances in trapped ions. Nicolás is the second PhD graduate from the lab and, with Martin Dreschler, is responsible for building our first ion trapping experiment. He focused in techniques for sensing ion movement, in particular harnessing the power of dark resonances in spectra for sub-Doppler resolution.

Nicolás will be joining the Chemical Physics and Spectroscopy group as a posdoc, next year. Good luck Nico in this next chapter!
